Starting to prepare for Baby Lindahl!

Lately, my mind has been focused greatly on finishing up this school year!  BUT, I can't wait to be able to focus more on the baby.  As many of you know, I am so happy to be able to stay home next year with our baby and also with my two nieces, Ellie and Maja.  Although next year will bring a different kind of challenge, I can hardly wait.  I am looking forward to next year so much!  No long driving commute, no lesson plans, no grading, no annoying administration, NO outside work....I just get to be a stay at home mom and an aunt.  : )

Even though I said I haven't been able to completely focus and think about Baby Lindahl, we have started to prepare for him.  John painted the nursery, and we have been given a few items to go in it (or at least for now until the room explodes with other items)!  We have a dresser, rocking chair, rug, swing, and a papasan.  We also have a bookshelf that we are planning to put behind the rocking chair.  Next week we will get the crib!  We still need to buy a changing table, and then I think we are set for the bigger furniture items.  As far as decorations go, John and I both love boats, so we are planning to have the theme of the nursery be sailboats.  John and I both grew up at a cabin and boated during the summers, and I also was a rower in college, so boats seem to be a fitting theme for our family.  I'm sure Baby Lindahl will be in many boats, especially at the cabin, throughout his lifetime!
So, if you see any cute sailboat decorations, let me know!  We have a few pictures that John had in his apartment before we were married...but we still need to buy new frames for them.  We also have John's wooden sailboat that he had when he was a little boy.

The Lindahl family celebrated Mother's Day (a week later) at the Botanic Gardens.  Pictured below is my growing belly...It's kind of hard to tell with my "flowy" dress, but I'm getting bigger.
