FINDING OUT OUR BABY'S GENDER!

What is the Gender??!!!!

We found out on Monday, March 25th the gender of our baby.  We wanted to do a fun gender reveal party, but my parents had just left the day before after visiting from Omaha and John's family was busy every night until Thursday night...I could NOT wait until Thursday night to find out.  SO... John and I decided that we would find out on Monday, and wait until Thursday to tell the Lindahls and everyone else.  Clearly, my family could not wait either, and demanded that they know on Monday, so they did find out then, but they were sworn to secrecy and could to not tell anyone else.

John was able to take the day off on Monday and got to come with me to see our baby moving all around in the ultrasound...a very active baby it was!  We saw everything except the gender.  When the ultrasound technician looked for the gender, we looked away.  We had her write the gender in an envelope and we went to Lake Michigan in Evanston to open it ourselves!  We were both excited to have either gender, and would be happy with whatever the results would be. However, we both thought it was a boy...and it IS!  IT'S A BOY!  Honestly, we hadn't even thought of any girls names, but we had thought of a boy's name.

We started a blog!

We finally did it...we started our own blog!  It seemed like the right time, now that we are excitedly awaiting a "Little Lindahl" this August, which we are so eager to announce the gender at the end of this week!  Many family and friends enjoy seeing pictures and videos of babies AND life memories, as will we, when we look back at our own memories and posts from this blog. I hope this blog helps us to be better picture takers!  I have to admit I am so bad at remembering to take pictures and document memorable events. Of course, I always seem to carry my camera around with me, and have good intentions to take pictures, but when the event is over, there are usually no pictures taken to document the occasion.
