Life with Kaden John

Its been a week and a day since Kaden was born.  The waiting is finally over!  He was born just an hour and 39 minutes past his due date, so I actually went into labor on his due date.  It sure was a hard couple of weeks leading up to Kaden's birth only because I was just so excited and ready to meet our little guy.  It made it even more difficult for me to wait because I didn't have much to do during the days.  But EVERYTHING ended up being perfect, and it truly was perfect timing!  I am so thankful!  We were lucky to have family and friends visit us in the hospital and at our home.  We are excited to see more family and friends and introduce Kaden to you in the near future.

Time is already flying by quickly!  John took a week off from work; however, he wasn't ready to go back this morning.  I have one more week of being with Kaden before I start watching my nieces as well. (That will be an adjustment and I'm sure a little crazy at first).  It has been a week full of love and change. We are learning how to live on the schedule of a newborn, especially with sleep as everyone knows is hard to get as much with a newborn.  We finally have figured out a good routine that works for John and I for now.  We/I also sneek in a nap during the day, which is when Kaden seems to sleep best, of course.

We definitely are enjoying our journey of parenthood.  We find ourselves staring for hours at our little guy.  It is truly amazing how much joy and happiness he brings to our lives.  All the little faces he makes and the noises, including his cries, are just precious.

A few of the many faces of Kaden...all in less than 30 seconds!
