Kaden has been up to a lot this month. Where do I even begin?! Kaden has been moving and cruising all over the place! He first only wanted (or could) crawl backwards. Now, he can crawl forwards as well, although he prefers to go backwards, and he gets himself in some pretty funny places...under his crib, under my bed and tables, etc. Kaden has been standing without help for long stretches. He is also pulling himself up and holding onto various things. He even has been side stepping across the coffee table and couch some! I think he will be an early walker if he keeps up this pace.

Kaden has been back to his normal night sleeping habits this month which I am so happy about! However, a new challenge has come upon us when he doesn't want to nap...he stands up or sits in his crib! It is so cute, but this new skill can make it even harder to get Kaden to nap quickly and to get himself back to sleep.
Kaden's favorite word this month is "dada," and he says it all the time. Another fun thing Kaden has started doing this month is taking off his socks! And its happening all the time unless he has shoes on...he has been wearing shoes a lot more these days. Kaden has learned to wave with his hand, although I don't think he knows exactly when to wave, as he does it randomly, but also when someone is leaving or coming. I am trying to teach Kaden how to clap, but he can't seem to pick up on that yet.
Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, we have been to the park a few times and Kaden has been swinging in the baby swing. He loves it! When John comes with, Kaden gets a shoulder ride, which he absolutely enjoys also! He is so funny with his hands while riding on John's shoulders... John named it his "fairy hands". We noticed that he also brings out his "fairy hands" when he gets really excited!
Kaden still doesn't have any teeth. I heard teething is hereditary. John got his first tooth when he was 6 months old, but I didn't get my first tooth until 10 months, so who knows when Kadens time will be. I keep thinking any day now, based on the symptoms, but I've said this since he was 2 months old...ha!
I started giving Kaden puffs finger food. He had a really hard time putting them in his mouth at first, and he was just playing with them until they all ended up on the floor. He is getting the hang of it now, and he actually gets some in his mouth!
