Family Fun and Kaden's 4th Month

John and I had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with family!   The extended Lindahl family was here, minus one family, so that brought the total to 11 adults, 7 kids and 2 babies.  We were at my in-law's house in Libertyville for Christmas Eve.  We ate a delicious meal, opened a few presents, saw Santa knock on the door and then run away to deliver gifts, and we went to the Christmas Eve service at Libertyville Covenant Church.  We stayed overnight in Libertyville, and it was nice to wake up and be with the immediate Lindahl family Christmas morning.  Afterwards, we had Christmas Day Lous pizza and snacks at our house.  The kids made a neat "How the Grinch Stole Christmas video", we played Grandma Muriel's famous dice game, and enjoyed each others company.  What a lovely day!  A few days after Christmas, my parents and brother came to Chicago/Skokie to spend time with us and my sister.  It was fun to all be together!

John and I took Kaden out for his first sled ride.  He didn't really know what to think at first, but he loved it!  This was before the really cold weather came.

After two weeks off of our regular routine, I got two more days off due to the cold weather.  Kaden is happy to have cousins back, and Kaden and Maja have been "playing"so cute together!  I finally was able to finish reading the Divergent series over break, and really enjoyed them!  I am looking for another book/series to read if anyone has any recommendations let me know!

Now that Kaden is 5 months, I have noticed that he can sit up on his own really well!  He also is laughing a lot more when he is tickled.  He has been making this really high pitched noise this past week, which is funny, (after a while it gets a little crazy).  We have now given Kaden rice cereal and avocados.  It is pretty cute/funny to watch him try to eat!  I haven't quite figured out the baby solids thing/scheduling yet, but we bought a Magic Bullet, so I can make our own baby food.
