The Gender Reveal Party

From my last post you know that we had a gender reveal party with the Lindahls.  We had the party at Deb and Wes' condo in Lincoln Square where we had been staying for three days because our hardwood floors were getting refinished.  Since we already knew our baby's gender, we still wanted to have some fun and put our family in suspense.  We decorated the condo with blue and pink decorations.  We made Mexican food- burritos, rice, beans, guacamole/chips.  Most importantly, I made cupcakes with blue filling for dessert, which was where our family would find out that we were having a boy.

 I found this trick online for cutting the middle of the cupcake out and then injecting it with colored filling before frosting them.

Don't judge the writing ? on the cupcakes....I didn't have the right sized cap for the icing, and it was very hard to write with.
